These disorders may be caused by your stomach dysfunction. Surprise!

In many cases it is another organ system, not the one that is having symptoms, that may causing a problem in a seemingly unrelated system. Is that confusing?

Here are some disorders that can be caused by chronic digestive dysfunctions. You may be medicating something that can be safely resolved by solving the stomach issue.

This is especially true when you think about these symptoms in regards to children. Asthma and wheezing during sports activities can be a digestive problem and are quite common among children. Look into their diet and digestion.

These problems can be caused by the stomach:

  • Hoarseness
  • Wheezing
  • Asthma
  • Sleep apnea
  • Dental problems
  • Bad breath
  • Chronic cough
  • Shortness of breath

You see, all of the body’s systems are interrelated on some level. They can all influence each other and the Digestive System is the major system that influences them all.

“You are what you eat.” This couldn’t be truer in the sense of health and disease.

A simple food sensitivity over years of irritation can cause the immune system to produce a low level of inflammation throughout the body.

A full 50% of the population is being effected by Acid Reflux at some time or another, that’s over 150 million people.

Think about how many people are effected by the above conditions and then you begin to realize how many medications are unnecessarily used. Some of the medications prescribed have very dangerous side effects, especially over long term use.

If you have a child suffering from lung or breathing problems, have them evaluated by a Functional Medicine practitioner to see if they have a digestive/stomach issue that is the culprit.

Finding true, proven and safe solutions should be the goal of any parent.
